Resoling is the replacing old and worn rubber with new rubber. The lower rubber (sole) and the upper rubber (rand) will get worn down and eventually blow out with repeated climbing. All resoles involve replacing half of the sole with new rubber. This involves leather patchwork or "upper repair" and will cost extra.

Toe caps are $20 and start with shaving down the original rand rubber and then adding a layer of rand rubber resulting in about a 1mm increased thickness in the toe box, which can benefit durability. Toe replacements are $30 and start with completely removing the toe area rand rubber and then adding the new rand rubber. Replacements offer a more sensitive toe box closer the the one found on new shoes. *Please note that these photos are old and our current toe caps blend into the shoe significantly more.
